What is ISO 22635–Adhesives about?
ISO 22635 specifies a test method that measures the dimensional changes of a plastic or rubber floor or wall covering bonded to a given substrate after accelerated ageing. The term “wall covering” does not include any type of wallpaper.
ISO 22635 specifies a test method to measure the dimensional changes of a plastic or rubber floor covering while being used to an adhesive after accelerated ageing.
Who is ISO 22635–Adhesives for?
ISO 22635 on adhesives is relevant to:
- Manufacturers of adhesives
- Civil engineers and architects
- Chemical engineers
- Any entity responsible for testing and quality of adhesives
- Flooring industry
Why should you use ISO 22635–Adhesives?
Adhesives are any non-metallic liquid or powder that binds two separate items together and resists their separation. The most common types of adhesives are glues, cement, and pastes.
ISO 22635 contains guidelines and methods for testing and determining the dimensional changes of plastic and rubber floor coverings or wall coverings when bonding with adhesives after accelerated ageing.
ISO 22635 provides a method for evaluating the suitability of a plastic or rubber floor covering/adhesive combination by monitoring dimensional changes during defined conditioning sequences when the bonded product is applied to a specific substrate.
Overall, BS EN 17224 is a comprehensive guide to provide methods for determining the dimensional changes of rubber or plastic flooring when in contact with adhesives, so users will gain a comprehensive understanding of the quality of adhesives, durability and strength.
