What is ISO 22751 about ?
ISO 22751 discusses rubber or plastic-coated fabrics. ISO 22751 specifies a test method for the determination of the bending force of rubber or plastics-coated fabrics.
Who is ISO 22751 for ?
ISO 22751 on a determination of bending force of rubber or plastic-coated fabrics is useful for:
- Plastic-coated (PVC) fabrics manufacturers
- Rubber coated fabrics manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use ISO 22751 ?
A bending force is a load that is applied to a portion of material a certain length from a fixed position. Therefore, the units used to quantify a bending force are typically a unit of length multiplied by a unit of load. Common units used to measure a bending force include pound-foot or newton-meter.
ISO 22751 provides the required guidance on determining the bending force of rubber and plastic-coated. The bending strength or flexural strength of a material is defined as its ability to resist deformation under load. ISO 22751 will help the users to check the flexibility, durability, holding capacity of the material.
