What is ISO 3501 - Pull-out resistance of plastic pressure pipes about?
Plastic pressure pipes are low weight, abrasion-resistant, corrosion-resistant, high impact-resistant, and flexible making them popular in various end-use industries. ISO 3501 specifies a method for checking the ability of assembled uniaxial joints between fittings and plastic pressure pipes to withstand longitudinal tensile stresses. The test applies regardless of the design and material of the fitting used for jointing plastics pipe.
ISO 3501 discusses terms, definitions, principle, test parameter, requirements, apparatus, test pieces, procedures and test reports.
Note: ISO 3501 does not apply to fusion-welded joints.
