What is ISO 7751 - Ratio of proof and burst pressure to maximum working pressure about ?
ISO 7751 is an international standard used for rubber and plastic hoses and hose assemblies that specifies the ratio of proof and burst pressure to maximum working pressure. This is useful in manufacturing good quality rubber and plastic hoses.
ISO 7751 specifies ratios of proof pressure and minimum burst pressure to a maximum working pressure for various categories of hose service.
Who is ISO 7751 - Ratio of proof and burst pressure to maximum working pressure for ?
ISO 7751 on rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies is useful for:
- Chemical industries
- Manufacturers of hoses
- Oil and Gas refineries
- Biotechnical industries
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Biochemical companies
Why should you use ISO 7751 - Ratio of proof and burst pressure to maximum working pressure ?
Utilize ISO 7751 guidance to compare the ratios of proof and burst pressure to maximum working pressure. ISO 7751 helps you in reducing damages to rubber and plastic hoses. This ratio also helps in sustaining the performance of rubber and plastic hoses.
Using ISO 7751, you can assess the right pressure to operate the hoses. By applying ISO 7751 best practice guidelines, you can classify the rubber and plastic hoses according to operational requirements. This can help you in manufacturing good quality rubber and plastic hoses.
What’s changed since the last update ?
BS EN ISO 7751:2016 supersedes BS EN ISO 7751:1997+A1:2011. BS EN ISO 7751:2016 includes some technical changes with respect to BS EN ISO 7751:1997+A1:2011. These include:
- The term “design working pressure” has been replaced by “maximum working pressure” throughout the text in accordance with ISO 7751:1991/Amd.1:2011
- A new category (hoses for delivery of cement, concrete, plaster and grout) has been added
