What is ISO 8130‑11-Coating powders about?
ISO 8130 discusses coating powders. ISO 8130‑11 is the eleventh part of the ISO 8130 multi-series and discusses the inclined-plane flow test.
ISO 8130 specifies a comparative method for determining the flow characteristic of a fused thermosetting coating powder down a plane inclined at a set angle to the horizontal.
Note: This method is not suitable for coating powders that have gel times of less than 1 min at the test temperature when characterised according to ISO 8130‑6. This method is also not suitable for textured powders.
Who is ISO 8130‑11-Coating powders for?
ISO 8130‑11 on coating powders is useful for:
- Paint manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use ISO 8130‑11-Coating powders?
ISO 8130‑11 provides you with the procedure of the Inclined-plane flow test, the number of determinations, required test report, and information of precision. The inclined flow test method given in ISO 8130‑11 ensures that the different batches of powder coating perform equally, thereby improving the overall quality of your products.
ISO 8130‑11 helps you to provide a better finish than liquid paints can, while providing an attractive finish. Powder-coated products are better than diminished coating quality because of impact, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions. This reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, and fading.
