What is ISO 8130‑12-Coating powders about?
ISO 8130 discusses coating powders. ISO 8130‑12 is the twelfth part of the ISO 8130 multi-series and discusses the determination of compatibility.
ISO 8130‑12 specifies a visual method to determine the deterioration of surface quality of the final coating when mixing two different coating powders.
The surface quality will depend on the following characteristics of the coating powders:
- The chemical reactivity
- The chemical composition
- The melt properties
Who is ISO 8130‑12-Coating powders for?
ISO 8130‑12 on coating powders is useful for:
- Paint manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use ISO 8130‑12-Coating powders?
ISO 8130‑12 is useful in predicting the possibility of incompatibility arising from mixing different powders both during the manufacturing process and during the application of the coating powder. You can use this information in the labelling of your products to help your consumers get the best out of your product.
ISO 8130‑12 provides determination of compatibility test procedure, expression of the test result and content of test report that helps you manufactures to improve the quality.
