What is BS EN ISO 8130‑7-Coating powders about?
ISO 8130 discusses coating powders. ISO 8130‑7 is the seventh part of the ISO 8130 multi-series and discusses the determination of loss of mass on stoving.
ISO 8130‑7 specifies a method for the determination of loss of mass on stoving of coating powders that are to be applied by electrostatic spraying or flock spraying or fluidized bed.
Who is BS EN ISO 8130‑7-Coating powders for?
BS EN ISO 8130‑7 on coating powders is useful for:
- Paint manufacturers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use ISO 8130‑7-Coating powders?
ISO 8130‑7 provides you with the procedure for the test that helps you identify the loss of mass in coating powders after stoving (heating).ISO 8130‑7 provides you with a detailed account of the test apparatus and formula for calculation of loss of mass of coating powder.
ISO 8130‑7 guides you with the parameters for the test and the expression of the test report. All this data helps you in identifying the difference of loss mass in coating powders to the smallest of measures.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS EN ISO 8130‑7:2019 supersedes BS EN ISO 8130‑7:2010, which is withdrawn.BS EN ISO 8130‑7:2019 includes some technical changes with respect to BS EN ISO 8130‑7:2010 -
- The terms and definitions and Principal Clause have been added
- The designation of masses has been significantly changed, where m0 is now (m1 – m0) and m1 is now (m2 – m0)
- A table containing data for time, temperature and sample mass of different classes of coating powders has been added
