What is ISO 8205 about?
ISO 8205 specifies specifications for single- and double-conductor secondary connection cables used for resistance welding and allied processes. These specifications include requirements for electrical, mechanical, and cooling characteristics of the cables and their test procedures.
ISO 8205 also provides an overview of dimensions, marking, designations, materials used, electrical characteristics, electrical requirement, mechanical requirement and delivery conditions.
Who is ISO 8205 for?
ISO 8205 on resistance welding is applicable to:
- Construction, automotive, mechanical Industries
- Sheet metal manufacturers
- Manufacturers of pressure vessels
- Manufacturers of aircraft & aerospace
- Shipbuilding industry
- Welding equipment manufacturers
Why should you use ISO 8205?
Standardization in welding procedures is becoming more and more important due to the increasing quality and performance standards. Following the guidelines in ISO 8205 improves the quality of resistance welding and allied processes and welded joints.
ISO 8205 provides guidelines for the manufacture and use of water-cooled secondary connection cables for resistance welding and allied processes that are effective and efficient adhering to internationally recognised standards. Compliance with the standards informs customers that the quality and performance of the products are the best in industry.
