What is BS IEC 61196-4-1- Blank detail specification for radiating cables about?
BS IEC 61196-4-1 is a safety standard on Coaxial communication cables.
BS IEC 61196-4-1, which is a blank detail specification, applies to radiating coaxial communication cables. These cables are intended for use in wireless communication systems, such as tunnels, railways, highways, subways, elevators, and other installations in which conventional radio transmission is not satisfactory or even impossible.
BS IEC 61196-4-1 determines the layout and style for detail specification. Detail specifications, based on the blank detail specification, may be prepared by a national organization a manufacturer, or a user.
Who is BS IEC 61196-4-1- Blank detail specification for radiating cables for?
BS IEC 61196-4-1 on blank detail specification for radiating cables is relevant to:
- Manufacturers of radiating coaxial communication cables
- Cabling professionals
- Electricians and people working for the electrical department
- Installers of radiating cables
Why should you use BS IEC 61196-4-1- Blank detail specification for radiating cables?
A radiating cable is a long, flexible antenna with holes for radiating RF signals that may be put around corners, along railway systems, and through tunnels to disseminate wireless data communications in settings where regular antennas would be difficult or impossible to use.
Because the radiating cable antenna may be installed within inches of where the signal needs to be received, the wireless signal is isolated from other equipment on the factory floor. Furthermore, the cable is available in a variety of lengths to accommodate the requirements of the majority of applications. Radiating coaxial communication cables designed for use in wireless communication systems, such as underground railroads, subways, and other facilities where conventional radio transmission is either ineffective or impracticable are covered by the blank detail specification of BS IEC 61196-4-1.
Overall, BS IEC 61196-4-1 is useful as it provides guidance on the blank detail specification for radiating cables which can be beneficial for your business.
