What is BS IEC 61520 - Functional dimensions of metal thermowell for thermometer sensors about?
BS IEC 61520 is an international standard that outlines the functional dimensions for metal thermowell for thermometer sensors of nominal diameters ranging from 3 mm to 8 mm for use in process control.
Who is BS IEC 61520 - Functional dimensions of metal thermowell for thermometer sensors for?
BS IEC 61520 on functional dimensions of metal thermowell for thermometer sensors is useful for:
- Thermometer sensor manufacturers
- Design engineers
Why should you use BS IEC 61520- Functional dimensions of metal thermowell for thermometer sensors?
A thermometer sensor is a device that is used to measure temperature. This cab air temperature or the temperature of solid matter. A thermowell serves as a protective barrier between a thermometer and the process media.
BS IEC 61520 assists you with dimensions of type A - threaded type, type B - extended threaded type, type C - flanged type, and type D - weld-in type for the manufacturing of metal thermowell of required size and thus, also prevents wastage due to manufacturing metal thermowell of incorrect size.
With compliance to BS IEC 61520, you can standardize the functional dimensions of metal thermowell for thermometer sensors.
