What is BS IEC 62629-13-1 - Visual inspection methods of ghost image about?
BS IEC 62629-13-1 is the 13th part of the international standard that discusses 3D display devices that specifies visual inspection methods for stereoscopic displays using glasses.
BS IEC 62629-13-1 specifies the visual inspection methods of ghost images.
BS IEC 62629-13-1 is applicable to stereoscopic displays using glasses.
Who is BS IEC 62629-13-1 - Visual inspection methods of ghost image for?
BS IEC 62629-13-1 on visual inspection methods is relevant to:
- Manufacturers of electronic display devices
- Manufacturers of laser equipment
- Entities involved in the field of optoelectronics
- Product design engineers
- Quality testing and inspection authorities
Why should you use BS IEC 62629-13-1 - Visual inspection methods of ghost image?
A ghost image is an image artefact that the observer perceives due to the incomplete separation of the left and the right images occurring in the stereoscopic display using glasses. As a result, ghosting can degrade the ability of the end-user to combine the stereoscopic image and reduce 3D image quality. In this regard, BS IEC 62629‑13‑1 focuses on best industry visual inspection methods to detect this flaw.
BS IEC 62629‑13‑1 walks you through the standard visual inspection conditions and methods for visual inspection to determine the existence of the ghost.
By complying with BS IEC 62629‑13‑1, you can demonstrate optimal optical performance of your 3D display devices.
