What is BS IEC 63068‑3 about?
BS IEC 63068‑3 is the international standard for semiconductors devices that specifies the test methods which helps in detecting the defects in silicon carbide homoepitaxial wafer.
BS IEC 63068‑3 is the third part of Semiconductor devices in multi-series standard.
BS IEC 63068‑3 provides definitions and guidance in the use of photoluminescence for detecting as-grown defects in commercially available 4H-SiC (Silicon Carbide) epitaxial wafers.
Who is BS IEC 63068‑3 for?
BS IEC 63068‑3 on Semiconductor devices is useful for:
- Semiconductor foundries
- Manufacturer of electronic devices
- Manufacturer of automotive
Why should you use BS IEC 63068‑3?
Photoluminescence (PL) is a light emission from any form of matter BS IEC 63068‑3 helps in specifying the type of defects in silicon carbide homoepitaxial wafer and analyse the photoluminescence (PL) features. The parameter setting is useful in identifying the PL feature defects in the wafer by using image capturing parameters. This photoluminescence (PL) imaging system helps in determining the shape and size of the defects in semiconductor devices.
BS IEC 63068‑3 guidelines is useful in preventing the defects that result in reducing the defects on wafer while producing the semiconductor devices. This photoluminescence (PL) image helps in capturing and transforming defects in digital format. The test methods specified in BS IEC 63068‑3 can help you in performing the test that is useful in classifying the defects in silicon carbide homoepitaxial wafer in semiconductor devices.
