What is ISO 11001-1-Three-point hitch couplers and U-frame couplers in agricultural tractors about?
ISO 11001-1 is an international standard covering technical specifications for three-point hitch couplers and U-frame couplers in agricultural tractors that facilitate hitching and unhitching for mountings from the operator’s seat.
ISO 11001-1 specifies the essential dimensions for attaching three-point hitch implements to agricultural wheeled and track-laying tractors equipped with a three-point free link hitch and a U-frame hitch coupler.
In ISO 11001-1, the three-point hitch coupler systems constitute a special method of implementing mounting. Hitch couplers are an additional component located between the three-point linkage and the implement, making it possible to hitch and unhitch from the operator’s seat. Due to the special construction and function of hitch couplers, it is necessary to vary the length of the upper and lower links indicated in the referenced standards.
ISO 11001-1 applies to categories 1, 2N, 2, 3N, 3, 4N, and 4 of agricultural wheeled and tracklaying tractors as defined in ISO 730 or ISO 8759-1.
Note: The dimensions associated with the tractor and implement for use with hitch couplers are the same as those for the three-point linkage specified in ISO 730 or ISO 8759-1 and those for the clearance zone specified in ISO 2332.
Who is ISO 11001-1-Three-point hitch couplers and U-frame couplers in agricultural tractors for?
ISO 11001-1 on three-point hitch couplers and U-frame couplers in agricultural tractors applies to:
- Manufacturers of agricultural tractors
- Dealers and importers of agricultural tractors
- Testing houses for agricultural tractors
- Safety assurance services
Why should you use ISO 11001-1-Three-point hitch couplers and U-frame couplers in agricultural tractors?
Three-point hitch coupler systems are a unique manner of mounting implements. The hitch couplers are a separate component that sits between the three-point linkage and the implement, allowing you to hitch and unhitch from the driver's seat. Ploughs and other farming tools are attached to agricultural tractors using three-point hitch coupler systems.
ISO 11001-1 provides users guidance on the principle of frame coupler system, coupler dimensions, dimensions associated with implementation and requirements, enabling effective linking, operations and flexibility in agricultural tractors.
With obedience and compliance of ISO 11001-1, users can develop and assess U-frame couplers, ensuring safety, longevity and performance in farming operations.
