What is ISO 12614‑16 about?
ISO 12614‑16 is part 16 of the multi-series standard on heat exchanger-vaporizer which is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel system component.
ISO 12614‑16 specifies tests and requirements for the heat exchanger-vaporizer, a liquefied natural gas fuel system component intended for use on the types of motor vehicles defined in ISO 3833.
NOTE-
ISO 12614‑16 is not applicable to the following:
- Fuel containers
- Stationary gas engines
- Container mounting hardware
- Electronic fuel management
- Refuelling receptacles
Who is ISO 12614‑16 for?
ISO 12614‑16 on heat exchanger-vaporizer is applicable to:
- Manufacturers of LNG vehicles
- Manufacturers of heat exchanger-vaporizer
- Vehicle regulatory authorities
- Vehicle repair shops
Why should you use ISO 12614‑16?
ISO 12614‑16 specifies guidelines for the construction of heat exchanger-vaporizer. The guidelines include the materials to be used and the method for assembly of those materials. It helps the makers to manufacture durable fuel system components.
ISO 12614‑16 provides marking instructions on heat exchanger-vaporizer. The markings will help in identifying and tracing heat exchanger-vaporizer.
ISO 12614‑16 provides tests to check the hydraulic strength, continued operation, water jacket freezing and compatibility with heat exchange fluids of non-metallic parts. With the tests, you can measure the strength of the differential pressure fuel content gauge.
What’s changed since the last update?
