What is ISO 13521 - Austenitic manganese steel castings about?
ISO 13521 is an international standard on austenitic manganese steel castings that discusses the mechanical test and chemical composition of austenitic manganese steel castings.
ISO 13521 specifies austenitic manganese cast steels for wear-resistant service. The grades covered by ISO 13521 will experience maximum service life in applications where the surface of the casting is subject to impact.
Who is ISO 13521 - Austenitic manganese steel castings for?
ISO 13521 on austenitic manganese steel castings is relevant to:
- Manufacturer of austenitic manganese steel castings
- Metallurgist
Why should you use ISO 13521 - Austenitic manganese steel castings?
Austenitic manganese steel is made by alloying steel containing 0.8 % to 1.25 % carbon with 11 % to 15 % manganese. AMS has some special properties that make it irreplaceable. It is unique non-magnetic steel with extreme anti-wear properties.
ISO 13521 provide guidance on general conditions of delivery, heat treatment, chemical composition, mechanical tests, bend test, hardness test, microstructure.
ISO 13521 exemplifies the required chemical composition that helps you achieve precision in terms of product functionality and specification. As a user of ISO 13521, you can be ensured of various mechanical tests for testing austenitic manganese steel castings. With obedience and compliance to ISO 13521, you can efficiently manufacture high-quality austenitic manganese steel castings. With ISO 13521you can be ensured that the products consistently meet and exceed quality assurance targets.
