What is ISO 13820 - Fixed platen compression testing equipment about?
ISO 13820 is a standard that covers fixed platen compression testing equipment to ensure stable operability and consistency in the testing of paper, boards and corrugated fibreboards.
ISO 13820 specifies the essential characteristics and the principles of calibration of fixed platen compression testing equipment used in the testing of paper, board, and corrugated fibreboard.
Who is ISO 13820 - Fixed platen compression testing equipment for?
ISO 13820 on fixed platen compression testing equipment applies to:
- Manufacturers of paper and fibreboards
- Testing houses for paper and boards
- Quality assurance services
- Manufacturers of compression testing equipment
- Paper mills
Why should you use ISO 13820 - Fixed platen compression testing equipment?
Fixed-platen compression tester used for carrying out compression tests on paper, board, and corrugated fibreboard. This equipment develops compressive forces at a constant rate of strain. This is the primary equipment used in modern test labs, preferred because of its reliability, its ability to test over the range of test levels likely to be found, and because the characteristics of existing instruments have been well defined and universally accepted.
ISO 13820 provides users guidance on principle, apparatus, verification, calibration and calibration report to ensure accuracy and precision in testing applications.
With obedience and compliance to ISO 13820, users can assess flexed platen compression testing equipment for effective testing of paper, board and and corrugated fibreboard, ensuring their quality and durability.
