What is ISO 14033 about?
You may need to collect and analyze environmental data for a variety of reasons. This data would be useful only if you can accurately quantify and interpret it. ISO 14033 gives you guidelines to successfully do this. ISO 14033 helps you to gather this environmental data in a systematic manner. ISO 14033 walks you through the general principles, policies, strategies, and activities necessary to obtain quantitative environmental information for internal and/or external purposes.
ISO 14033 addresses issues related to defining, collecting, processing, interpreting, and presenting quantitative environmental information. ISO 14033 provides guidelines on how to establish accuracy, verifiability and reliability for the intended use. ISO 14033 uses proven and well-established approaches for the preparation of information adapted to the specific needs of environmental management.
