What is ISO 17561 - Ceramic coatings about?
ISO 17561 is an international standard on fine ceramics which covers methods of test for ceramic coatings.
ISO 17561 describes a method of measuring the elastic moduli of monolithic ceramics at room temperature by sonic resonance.
ISO 17561 describes the method of test for determining the dynamic elastic moduli of fine ceramics at room temperature by sonic resonance. ISO 17561 is for fine ceramics that are elastic, homogeneous and isotropic.
Who is ISO 17561 - Ceramic coatings for?
ISO 17561 on ceramic coatings is useful for:
- Fine ceramics manufacturers
- Ceramic coating professionals
Why should you use ISO 17561 - Ceramic coatings?
Industry-grade ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that is applied to the exterior of a surface to protect it from external paint damage. Typically applied by hand, it blends with the paint of your surface and creates an additional hydrophobic layer of protection.
ISO 17561 provides various methods and techniques for determining the resonant frequency of test pieces.
This test method provided in ISO 17561 measures the flexural or torsional frequencies of test specimens of a rectangular prism or cylindrical geometry by exciting them at continuously variable frequencies.
As a result of ISO 17561, ceramic manufacturers can test and uncover fractures in ceramic coatings, which helps them to build a superior and cost-effective product.
