What is ISO 18591 - Compressive strength of ceramic granules about?
ISO 18591 is the international standard on ceramic granules properties that have the capacity of concrete to withstand loads before failure.
ISO 18591 specifies the testing method to determine the compressive strength of ceramic granules when subjected to uniaxial compressive loading in a confining die, under specified conditions.
Who is ISO 18591 - Compressive strength of ceramic granules for?
ISO 18591 on ceramics is useful for:
- Builders
- Architects
- Interior designers
- Manufacturers of ceramic
Why should you use ISO 18591 - Compressive strength of ceramic granules?
Ceramic granules can be continuously moulded into a ceramic product having high dimensional accuracy as well as the strength and quality of the concrete being produced.
ISO 18591 provides the apparatus requirements and test sampling of the ceramic granules.
ISO 18591 navigates you through the test procedure to establish the quantity, powder testing conditions, cleaning of the die and the punches, lubrication of the die walls and compaction and ejection of ceramic powder.
Expression of results and test report on the compressive strength of the ceramic granules are set out in ISO 18591.
Moreover, ISO 18591 assist you in obtaining a ceramic granule that excels in flowability, mould-packing property, anti-sticking property, and well-balanced qualities of conflicting properties of crushing at low pressure and anti-collapse property, and capable of continuously making a ceramic product.
In this manner, characterization and quantification of the ceramic granule properties are important steps for improving the production process and properties of the granules for further processing.
