What is this ISO 19916-1 - Vacuum insulating glass about?
The use of glass in constructions delivers economic, environmental, and social objectives, all of which are central when defining sustainable buildings. In order to support a shift towards the design of genuinely sustainable buildings and ensure the quality of the glass and glazed products manufactures and uses, we have an extensive range of glass and glazing standards to help meet your construction needs.
ISO 19916 is series discusses standards for vacuum insulating glass in building. ISO 19916-1 specifies product specification for vacuum insulating glass. It also specifies evaluation methods for thermal and sound insulating performance and evaluation methods for thermal insulation durability.
Who is ISO 19916-1 - Vacuum insulating glass for?
ISO 19916-1 on glass in building is useful for:
- Glass manufacturers
- Construction industries
- Contractors and builders
- Building safety authorities
- Regulatory bodies
- Certification bodies
Why should you use ISO 19916-1 - Vacuum insulating glass?
Vacuum insulating glass enhance the performance of any glass configuration by effectively blocking thermal transmission, and delivering thermal insulation performance. Vacuum insulating glass has the potential to achieve very high reliability in practical installations.
ISO 19916-1 provides you with dimentional requirements for measuring the thickness and measurement of sound insulation of vacuum insulating glass. Following the specifications provided in ISO 19916-1, you can manufacture and supply high quality vacuum insulating glass to your customers. These customers will be able to safely use the vacuum insulating glass.
ISO 19916-1 also provides test method for duability of thermal insulation which includes test such as moisture and light resistance test, thermal repeating test. Following test procedures you can ensure strength of vacuum insulating glass.
