What is ISO 20480‑3 about?
ISO 20480‑3 is the third part of the multi-series of International Standard on ‘Fine bubble technology’. ISO 20480‑3 describes general principles for usage, measurement and generation methods for fine bubbles.
In addition to existing fine bubble technology standards, ISO 20480‑3 also specifies common terms of generation principles, best practices to use common terms for fine bubble generating systems and how to go about market expansion.
Who is ISO 20480‑3 for?
ISO 20480‑3 on methods for generating fine bubbles is relevant to:
- Fine bubbles diffuser manufacturers
- Engineers working in fine bubble technology
- Environmental authorities
Why should you use ISO 20480‑3?
Applications of fine bubble technologies can be found in cleaning, environmental improvement, the food and drink sector, aeration systems, medicine, water and wastewater treatment, as well as agriculture and aquaculture. Developing appropriate terminology for such diverse technologies is therefore critical to business trade or product acceptance by consumers.
The use of ISO 20480‑3 can help you in the following ways:
- Convenience of your customers when purchasing or using fine bubble generating systems.
- Standardization of terminology will enhance commonality in the field of generating system performance. Improvement in performances in hardware and software will also prospectively lead to market growth of your industries which will ultimately result in revenue growth.
- Standardization of terminology will enable the application markets to be boosted in creating new markets, as well as unifying existing markets. And with the process of creation of new markets, your reach will also increase.
ISO 20480‑3 contributes to the following six UN Sustainable Development goals:
- Goal 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure
- Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities
- Goal 14 on life below water
- Goal 2 on zero hunger
- Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation
- Goal 15 on life on land
