What is ISO 20766‑11 about?
ISO 20766‑11 is the 11th part of the ISO 20766 series of documents that specifies general information regarding the manual shut-off valve component of liquefied petroleum gas fuel, intended for use on the types of motor vehicles and provides general design principles, and specifies requirements for instructions and marking. Also specifies test requirements for the manual shut-off valve.
ISO 20766‑11 is applicable to vehicles (mono-fuel, bi-fuel, or dual-fuel applications) using gaseous fuels in accordance with ISO 9162.
NOTE: ISO 20766‑11 is not applicable to the following:
- Fuel containers
- Stationary gas engines
- Container mounting hardware
- Electronic fuel management
- Refuelling receptacles.
Who is ISO 20766‑11 for?
ISO 20766‑11 on LPG fuel systems components is applicable to:
- Manufacturers of gaseous fuel vehicles
- Road vehicle engineers
- LPG suppliers
- Manufacturers of manual shut-off valve component
Why should you use ISO 20766‑11?
A manual shut-off valve function with a handwheel or are manually operated and can be used as open or closed valves.
ISO 20766‑11 gives marking guidelines so that the users and manufacturer can trace the product in accordance with working pressure and temperature range, the direction of flow (when necessary for correct installation), the flow capacity, type of fuel, and electrical ratings.
ISO 20766‑11 provides manufacturers with tools to improve their product by outlining tests that protect the device from leakage performs continued operations and ensure hydraulic strength by describing the construction and assembly mechanism of the manual shut-off valve.
Overall, ISO 20766-11 helps you in the production of manual shut-off valve components and provides an ideal device for sustaining load holding for motor vehicles.
