What is ISO 20911 - Radio frequency identification (RFID) tyre tags about?
ISO 20911 is an international standard that covers specification radio frequency identification (RFID) tyre tags.
ISO 20911 specifies the classification of different technologies used for tyre tags. This classification is useful to understand the application of Radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies.
ISO 20911 specifies RFID tyre tag classification of the different technologies (embedding, patching, sticking) to benefit the user's understanding of their differences, targets, possible applications as well as their limitations.
Note 1: ISO 20911 includes:
- Generic description of the main features for each technology
- Marking recommendation
Note 2: ISO 20911 excludes:
- References to items related to tyre quality and the testing thereof
- Detailed references to embedded locations
- Detailed references to rubber compound properties
- Detailed references to tyre manufacturing processes
Who is ISO 20911 - Radio frequency identification (RFID) tyre tags for?
ISO 20911 on radio frequency identification (RFID) tyre tags is useful for:
- Manufacturers and suppliers of tyres
- Manufacturer of automobile
- Services rendered on vehicles
Why should you use ISO 20911 - Radio frequency identification (RFID) tyre tags?
Radiofrequency identification (RFID) technology uses radio waves to passively identify a tagged object. This is useful in tracking the items which are checked out of the library.
ISO 20911 helps in classifying the embedded technology which is used throughout the life of the tyre. The parameters are useful in determining the performance and functionalities of tyre tags by using Radio frequency identification (RFID) devices. ISO 20911 gives you the patching installation which enables you in tracing the tyre. The position is specified for the patch to be installed in the tyre.
ISO 20911 helps you classify the different radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies which enables you to understand the application, limitations, and differences between these technologies.
