Those with direct control over the application and operation of the truck should be responsible for ensuring good safety practices. It is essential to have competent persons trained in the intended use, safe operation, maintenance, and service of the truck and any attachment(s). The use of ISO 11525‑1 can help get guidance on effective machinery maintenance and operation that can optimize overall operational efficiency.
