What is ISO 21360-3-Methods for measuring vacuum pump performance about?
ISO 21360 is a series on Vacuum technology. Vacuum technology is a method used to evacuate air from a closed volume by creating a pressure differential from the closed volume to some vent, the ultimate vent being the open atmosphere. ISO 21360-3 specifies methods and special requirements for measuring the maximum tolerable pressure difference, effective compression ratio, compression ratio with zero throughputs and overflow valve pressure difference of mechanical booster vacuum pumps. ISO 21360-3 applies to mechanical booster vacuum pumps employed for medium vacuum or rough vacuum applications including gas-cooled mechanical booster vacuum pumps and multiple mechanical booster vacuum pump systems.
ISO 21360-3 covers characteristics of mechanical boosters that are different from those of the usual positive displacement vacuum pumps. Maximum tolerable pressure difference Δpmax, effective compression ratio Keff, compression ratio with zero throughput K0 and overflow valve pressure difference Δp1 are special characteristics of the performance of mechanical booster vacuum pumps.
Who is ISO 21360-3-Methods for measuring vacuum pump performance for?
ISO 213603 on vacuum technology is applicable to:
- Vacuum pump manufacturers
- Vacuum system manufacturers
- Design engineers
- Quality control personnel
Why should you use ISO 21360-3-Methods for measuring vacuum pump performance?
Vacuum technology deals with technological processes and equipment that use a vacuum to achieve better results than those that run under atmospheric pressure. ISO 21360-3 implementation provides a general description of the measurement of performance data of vacuum pumps. ISO 21360-3 ensure that measurements of the performance characteristics of mechanical booster vacuum pumps are, as far as possible, carried out by identical procedures and under identical conditions.
Vacuum technology in ISO 21360-3 helps in separating liquid components in the distillation process and it remains one of the useful techniques in segregating fatty acids, fatty acids, vitamins, oils, insecticides etc. ISO 21360-3 implementation in crystallization helps in terms of controlling evaporation as well cooling rates. ISO 21360-3 implementations saved energy consumption by reducing the operating time by inhaling from the ambient pressure, steady and excellent performance and applicable in all vacuum applications. And, the pump has two outlet ports, vertical and horizontal, to enable convenient piping with a backing pump. Using ISO 21360-3 you can specify methods and special requirements for measuring the maximum tolerable pressure difference, effective compression ratio, compression ratio with zero throughputs and overflow valve pressure difference of mechanical booster vacuum pumps.
