What is ISO 21760-1– Adhesives for organic electronic devices about?
ISO 21760-1 is the first part of the multi-series standard that specifies methods for determining the water vapour transmission rate and preparation for the adhesive film used in organic electronic devices such as organic light-emitting diodes.
ISO 21760-1 specifies six methods for determining the water vapour transmission rate of adhesive films coated on a plastic substrate.
The methods outlined in ISO 21760-1 provide rapid measurement over a wide range of water vapour transmission rates.
Who is ISO 21760-1– Adhesives for organic electronic devices for?
ISO 21760-1 on adhesives for organic electronic devices is relevant to:
- Manufacturers of adhesives
- Manufacturers of electronic devices
- Electrical engineers
- Any entity responsible for testing and quality of adhesives
Why should you use ISO 21760-1– Adhesives for organic electronic devices?
Adhesives are any non-metallic liquid or powder that binds two separate items together and resists their separation. The most common types of adhesives are glues, cement, and pastes.
ISO 21760-1 provides methods and requirements for preparing adhesive films and determining the water vapour transmission rate using edge seal methods for electronic equipment. ISO 21760-1 covers all significant requirements, methods used for preparing the adhesive film.
Overall, ISO 21760-1 is a comprehensive guide to provide methods for determining the water vapour transmission rate and preparing the adhesive film, so users will gain a comprehensive understanding of the quality of adhesives to improve the durability and strength of the electronic devices.
