What is ISO 21760-2– Adhesives for organic electronic devices about?
ISO 21760-2 is the second part of the multi-series standard that specifies four methods for determining the water vapour transmission rate through the cross-section of an adhesive for edge seals in organic electronic devices, such as organic light-emitting diodes and organic photovoltaic cells.
The methods in ISO 21760-2 provides rapid measurement over a wide range of water vapour transmission rates.
Who is ISO 21760-2– Adhesives for organic electronic devices for?
ISO 21760-2 on adhesives is relevant to:
- Manufacturers of adhesives
- Manufacturers of electronic devices
- Electrical engineers
- Any entity responsible for testing and quality of adhesives
Why should you use ISO 21760-2– Adhesives for organic electronic devices?
Adhesives are any non-metallic liquid or powder that binds two separate items together and resists their separation. The most common types of adhesives are glues, cement, and pastes.
ISO 21760-2 provides methods to determine the water vapour transmission rate using edge seal methods that are used for electronic equipment.
ISO 21760-2 covers all significant requirements, methods and is used to seal electronic devices and equipment.
Overall, ISO 21760-2 is a comprehensive guide to provide methods for determining the water vapour transmission rate, so users will gain a comprehensive understanding of the quality of adhesives to improve the durability and strength of the devices.
