What is ISO 22547 about?
ISO 22547 discusses standards for the performance test procedures for high-pressure pumps in LNG fuel gas supply systems (FGSS) for ships.
ISO 22547 specifies performance and additional tests for high-pressure pumps in marine fuel gas supply systems (FGSS) supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG) to ships.
ISO 22547 applies to positive displacement pumps to assess the mechanical features of the pumps and their auxiliary devices.
ISO 22547 focuses on the requirements for the test facility, the test conditions, the test specimens, the test procedures, and the test report.
Who is ISO 22547 for?
ISO 22547 on high-pressure pumps in LNG fuel gas supply systems (FGSS) for ships is applicable to:
- Shipbuilding and marine industries
- Marine fuel gas supply industries
- Testing agencies involved in testing performance of high-pressure pumps in LNG fuel gas supply system
- Manufacturers and installers of high-pressure pumps for ships
Why should you use ISO 22547?
High pressure pump in LNG FGSS is called the heart of the fuel gas system. Selecting the appropriate pressure pump for ships and marine application is crucial. The function of pressure pump is delivery of high pressure natural gas to the fuel rail of engine. High pressure pump need to adher to quality standards for fully functional and safe operation.
ISO 22547 provides you with test procedures and performance tests for high-pressure pumps in LNG FGSS including pressure testing, performance of safety devices, endurance testing which helps you to prove the endurance and stability to maintain the pressure and flow rate of the pump under the influence of the operation time and the different test conditions.
Obtaining ISO 22547 helps you to make suitable preparations for LNG fuel gas supply systems (FGSS). Also, you can demonstrate the reliability of your high pressure pumps and build trust in their use throughout the marine supply chain by adhering to ISO 22547.
