What is ISO 22768 - Raw rubber and rubber latex about?
ISO 22768 is an international standard that covers raw rubber and rubber latex. ISO 22768 specifies the test method for conducting tests that help in measuring the heat capacity of raw rubber and rubber latex.
ISO 22768 gives the technical specification such as terms, definitions, the principle of test, apparatus, materials, preparation of the test sample, conditioning, calibration, procedure, expression of results, stating test report, and precision for the determination of the glass transition temperature by differential scanning calorimetry.
ISO 22768 specifies a method using a differential scanning calorimeter to determine the glass
The transition temperature of raw rubber and rubber latex.
Who is ISO 22768 - Raw rubber and rubber latex for?
ISO 22768 on raw rubber and rubber latex are useful for:
- Manufacturers and suppliers of automobile
- Manufacturer of medical devices
- Manufacturer of aircraft carriers
Why should you use ISO 22768?
Raw rubber is the most important polymer which is used in various materials. The glass transition temperature is a parameter used for identifying the plastic.
ISO 22768 is helpful in checking the accuracy of the temperature scale by using suitable analytical grade substances. These grade substances are chosen with the help of the temperature range. The instrument software mentioned in ISO 22768 is useful in determining the glass transition temperature.
ISO 22768 specifies the test procedures and apparatus which is useful in conducting the test. This test is helpful in measuring the temperature by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) of raw rubber and rubber latex.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS ISO 22768:2020 supersedes BS ISO 22768:2017, which is withdrawn. BS ISO 22768:2020 includes some technical changes as follows:
- Rubber latex has been added to the scope and to Clause 6 as 6.2
- A new Annex B on the precision of rubber latex has been added
