What is ISO 23075 about?
ISO 23075 discusses about determination of anti-degradants in Vulcanized rubbers.
ISO 23075 describes a procedure for the determination of the following anti-degradants in
vulcanized rubbers:
- Aminoketone group,
- Naphthylamine group,
- Diphenylamine group,
- P-phenylenediamine,
- Monophenol group.
ISO 23075 summarizes the groups of anti-degradants with the chemical names, the abbreviated terms and the CAS registry numbers.
ISO 23075 guides you through the terms and conditions, principles, and materials and apparatus used for the different tests' methods keeping in mind the Chromatographic conditions.
Note 1: Extender oils, when present, can interfere.
Note 2: For poly-2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline, the method provides only an approximation because of its polymeric nature.
Who is ISO 23075 for?
ISO 23075 on liquid chromatography for determining anti-degradants is useful for
- Manufacturers and distributors of vulcanized rubbers
- Suppliers, dealers and importers of rubbers
- Testing laboratories for vulcanized rubbers
Why should you use ISO 23075?
Vulcanized rubber is used to manufacture all sorts of products in today’s time. Vulcanized rubber is a term that refers to any sort of rubber that has been hardened using heat and sulphur. It is produced by a curing process in which the rubber's elastomers harden as a result of exposure to heat and sulphur. Heat and sulphur exposure strengthens and elastizes the rubber by forming new cross-links.
ISO 23075 gives you a method known as liquid chromatography that deals with the investigation of anti-degradants in vulcanized rubber, which helps you enhance the longevity of rubber products.
ISO 23075 states the principle of quantitative extraction from the rubber, separated by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) from other extracted components.
Buyers benefits from ISO 23075 by detecting the component peaks of vulcanized rubber and their areas are measured. ISO 23075 helps in calculating the concentration in the rubber by using a standard calibration curve.
