- Training curriculum and contents for specific learning courses
- Qualification and confirmation criteria for the training organizations
- General procedures for providing training of UAS personnel. The requirements for a specific course as described in the annexes can be more restrictive in some cases
Who is ISO 23665 for?
ISO 23665 on unmanned aircraft systems is applicable for:
- Unmanned aircraft systems pilots
- Training organizations that provide training of UAS
- Aircraft system operators
- Training personnel who involve in the operation of UAS
- Aircraft manufacturing industries

Why should you use ISO 23665?
For personnel who are involved in unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations, required knowledge, attitude and skill levels need to be clearly defined. When unskilled persons operate a unmanned aircraft, the risk of a serious accident may increase. ISO 23665 provides you with the procedures for training personnel involved in the operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
The guidelines given in ISO 23665 helps you to ensure that personnel who are involved in UAS operations receive appropriate education and obtain essential knowledge and skill.
Training organizations and individuals qualified according to ISO 23665 will be internationally recognized. ISO 23665 helps to enhance the international operation of UAS, enable personal exchange, and encourage international trade.
ISO 23665 also provides you the procedures for the operation of a training organization, which is the entity that delivers training to trainees.
