What is ISO 2551 about?
ISO 2551 discusses the determination of dimensional changes of textile floor coverings and textile floor coverings in tile form. ISO 2551 specifies a procedure for the determination of dimensional changes and distortion out of plane likely to take place when textile floor coverings and tiles are subjected to varied water and heat conditions.
Note: The method is applicable to all textile floor coverings and textile floor coverings in tile form.
Who is ISO 2551 for?
ISO 2551 on the determination of dimensional changes of textile floor coverings is useful for:
- Floor covering producers
- Installers
- Quality control department
- Service providers
Why should you use ISO 2551?
Textile floor coverings and textile floor coverings in tile form in the home have always had a practical and/or decorative use and add the finishing touches to a room.
ISO 2551 was developed to standardize and assess the intrinsic dimensional stability of the textile floor coverings and textile floor coverings tile without the aid of adhesives.
ISO 2551 specifies a method for the determination of dimensional changes due to the effects of varied water and heat conditions and distortion out of the plane, that helps you to manufacture textile floor coverings and textile floor coverings tile with maintaining quality.
What is changed since the last update?
ISO 2551:2020 cancels the ISO 2551:1981, which has been technically revised.
ISO 2551:2020 the scope has been expanded to include the testing of textile floor covering tiles and the determination of distortion out of the plane with respect to ISO 2551:1981.
