What is ISO 2772- Box type vertical drilling about?
ISO 2772 document specifies, with reference to ISO 230-1, geometrical tests on general purpose and normal accuracy box type vertical drilling machines.
ISO 2772 also specifies the applicable tolerances corresponding to the above-mentioned tests.
Note-
BS ISO 2772:2019 does not apply to the testing of the machine operation (vibrations, abnormal noises, stick-slip motion of components, etc.) or to machine characteristics (such as speeds, feeds, etc.), which are generally checked before testing of machine accuracy.
Who is ISO 2772 - Box type vertical drilling for?
ISO 2772 on Box type vertical drilling is useful for:
- Drill machine manufacturers
- Drill machine operators
Why should you use ISO 2772- Box type vertical drilling?
ISO 2772 standardizes methods of testing the accuracy of box-type vertical drilling machines including geometrical tests. Thus, ISO 2772 makes it easy for you to test their drills.
ISO 2772 allows drill machine manufacturers and users to verify the accuracy of the drill machine and improve the product.
ISO 2772 lays out tests to measure the levelling and minimum tolerance of the drill which can be used by manufacturers to improve the durability and quality of the drill machine.
