What is ISO 5000 - Steel sheet about?
ISO 5000 is an international standard on steel sheets that discusses the criteria for manufacturing high-quality steel sheets. ISO 5000 applies to the minimum requirements for steel sheet, in coils and cut lengths, metallic-coated by the continuous hot-dip process, with aluminium-silicon alloy coating.
The product is intended for heat-resisting applications and also where both corrosion and heat resistance are required.
The steel sheet is produced in several quality designations and grades, coating mass, surface treatments, and coating finish conditions to be compatible with differing application requirements.
Who is ISO 5000 - Steel sheet for?
ISO 5000 on steel sheet is relevant to:
- Manufacturer of steel sheet
Why should you use ISO 5000 - Steel sheet?
Aluminized steel is steel that has been hot-dip coated on both sides with aluminium-silicon alloy. This process assures a tight metallurgical bond between the steel sheet and its aluminium coating, producing a material with a unique combination of properties possessed neither by steel nor by aluminium alone.
ISO 5000 navigates you through the steelmaking, chemical composition, chemical analysis, mechanical properties, coating, weldability, and various test methods.
As a user of ISO 5000, you can be ensured of all the properties of steel sheets. ISO 5000 exemplifies the required chemical composition and mechanical properties requirements that help you achieve precision in terms of product specification. With obedience and compliance to ISO 5000, you can efficiently manufacture high-quality steel sheets with aluminium-silicon alloy coating. ISO 5000 provides you with comprehensive information useful throughout the process of production.
