What is ISO 567- Determination of Bulk density of coke about?
ISO 567 specifies a method for the determination of the bulk density of coke in a cubical or cylindrical container of small capacity (0,2 m3).
A container of known mass and volume is filled with coke and the increase in mass is determined.
Who is ISO 567-Determination of Bulk density of coke for?
ISO 567 on the determination of bulk density in a small container is beneficial for:
- Chemical engineers
- People having knowledge of solid structure, soil texture and particle density
Why should you use ISO 567- Determination of Bulk density of coke?
The bulk density of coke depends on its physical characteristics, e.g. apparent relative density, shape, and size of the coke particles, and on the dimensions of the container.
The container specified in ISO 567 has a capacity of 0,2 m3. ISO 567 is applicable to coke with a nominal top size not greater than 125 mm.
Overall, ISO 567 is helpful as it provides details about the determination of bulk density in a small container which can be beneficial for your business.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS ISO 567:2021 supersedes BS 1016108.3:1995, which is withdrawn.
BS ISO 567:2021 cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 567:1995), which has been technically revised.
The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
- General and technical revision
- The container to be used for the determination of coke bulk density can either be cubical or cylindrical in shape with a capacity of 0,2 m3
