What is ISO 5675 about?
ISO 5675 discusses the essential interface dimensions and the operating requirements for hydraulic couplers employed to transmit hydraulic power from agricultural tractors to agricultural machinery.
ISO 5675 is applicable to couplers used in hydraulic lines other than those used for braking circuits. Under ISO 5675 all hydraulic couplers are intended to be connected and disconnected frequently to allow the transfer of machinery from one tractor to another without the use of tools or special devices.
Who is ISO 5675 for?
ISO 5675 on quick action hydraulic couplers is applicable to:
- Manufacturers of agricultural machinery
- Manufacturers of hydraulic couplers
- Suppliers and distributers hydraulic couplers
Why should you use ISO 5675?
Hydraulic fast couplers are designed to minimise pressure drop across hydraulic connections. Skid steer utility machines and tractors use high-flow hydraulic systems.
ISO 5675 provides you extensive information on quick-action hydraulic couplers which includes requirements like general, dimensional and operating which allow you to deliver leak-free operational performance for agricultural tractors and machinery.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS ISO 5675:2021 supersedes BS ISO 5675:2008, which is now withdrawn.
Changes in BS ISO 5675:2021 include –
- The normative references have been updated
- The coupler mounting zone for side couplers has been increased to match industry practice
- A zone for rear couplers has been added when more than three sets of couplers are used on the rear.
