What is ISO 5682‑4 about?
ISO 5682‑4 is the fourth part of the ISO 5682 multi-series that focuses on equipment for crop protection. ISO 5682‑4 specifies the method of testing the agitation system performance in spray tanks of sprayers for the application of plant protection products and fertilizers.
ISO 5682‑4 covers all sprayer operational conditions and test parameters including nozzle size, sprayed liquid flow rate, spray pressure and liquid suspension temperature.
Note: ISO 5682‑4 does not apply to manually operated knapsack sprayers, aircraft, or UASS sprayers.
Who is ISO 5682‑4 for?
ISO 5682‑4 on test methods for agitation of sprayer tanks is applicable to:
- Manufacturers of agricultural tools and machinery
- Manufacturers of agitators and spraying tools
- Dealers, distributors and importers of agricultural tools
Why should you use ISO 5682‑4?
An agitator is a machine that is used in a tank to mix chemicals in sprayer tanks by creating turbulence leading to a uniform stream jet flow.
ISO 5682‑4 provides you guidance on test setup, measuring equipment, sampling methods and measuring concentration, sprayer set up, test procedure and more which enables you to identify how efficiently the agitator mixes chemicals in the agricultural sprayer.
