What is ISO 6565 - Draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods about?
ISO 6565 is a standard that serves technical specifications for determining draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods, enabling the determination of product quality specifications for application in mechanical smoking.
ISO 6565 describes a method for measuring the draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods and specifies the standard conditions applicable to such measurements.
ISO 6565 applies to cigarettes, filter rods, and, by extension, to cylindrical tobacco products similar to cigarettes.
Who is ISO 6565 - Draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods for?
ISO 6565 on draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods apply to:
- Manufacturers of cigarettes
- Dealers and importers of cigarettes
- Testing labs for cigarettes
- Regulatory bodies
Why should you use ISO 6565 - Draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods?
The draw resistance of cigarettes or the pressure drop of filter rods is an important concept both for product quality specifications and for analytical determinations by mechanical smoking. Mechanical smoking is used to analyse the various metrics relating to cigarettes.
ISO 6565 provides users guidance on test conditions, instrument calibration, procedure, expression of results, precision and test report, enabling accurate assessment of draw resistance of cigarettes.
The adoption of ISO 6565 allows users to measure the draw resistance of cigarettes and pressure drop of filter rods, enabling the product quality specifications and analytical determinations by mechanical smoking that facilitates testing and analysis of chemicals and processes related to cigarette smoking.
