What is SO 6721-5 - Dynamic mechanical properties of plastic about?
ISO 6721-5 is the fifth part of the multi-series standard on the plastic determination of dynamic mechanical properties. ISO 6721-5 describes a flexural, non-resonance method for determining the components of the flexural complex modulus Ef* of polymers at frequencies typically in the range 0,01 Hz to 100 Hz.
Who is ISO 6721-5 - Dynamic mechanical properties of plastic for?
ISO 6721-5 on the determination of dynamic mechanical properties of plastic is relevant to:
- Plastic industry
- Plastic testing laboratory
Why should you use ISO 6721-5 - Dynamic mechanical properties of plastic?
The determination of dynamic mechanical properties is a technique that is widely used to characterize material properties as a function of temperature, time, frequency, stress, atmosphere, or a combination of these parameters.
ISO 6721-5 specifies the loading assemblies of plastic by determining the dynamic module under flexure vibration which is a curve, turn, or a fold.
The methods described in standard ISO 6721-5 assist the end-user in determining the viscoelastic properties of polymers involved in plastic which helps in the segregation of elements based on their properties.
