Why should you use ISO 6750‑1 - Earth-moving machinery?
Earthmovers and other heavy equipment assist in the speeding up of not only earthwork but also materials handling, demolition, and construction. Many types of heavy construction equipment are designed to serve numerous purposes, making them important on construction sites. However, the improper use of the machinery presents several risks.
ISO 6750‑1 provides a format for the description of the machine, its functional elements, and operational instructions for the intended use of the machine.
As a manufacturer of earth-moving machinery, adopting ISO 6750‑1 recommendations can help you incorporate a detailed description of dos and don’ts for your customers and users that could enhance productivity, reliability, and safety while operating machines.
ISO 6750‑1 provides a list of all abbreviations used in the operator’s manual and the definition of each abbreviation in close proximity to where the abbreviation appears in the text of the operator’s manual. This can be beneficial to avoid misinterpretation and miscommunication between any individual dealing with earth-moving machinery, especially in the event of product failures and hazards.
