What is ISO 7295 - Interchangeability dimensions for tyre valves about?
ISO 7295 is an International Standard that focuses on tyre valves for aircraft, providing necessary requirements for interchangeability dimensions.
ISO 7295 specifies the basic dimensional requirements for interchangeability of tyre valve core with the tyre valve stem and to permit assembly of the cap and ground inflation connection of the source of compressed air or nitrogen supply to the tyre.
Note: Functional requirements of the valve core or valve cap are not covered by ISO 7295.
Who is ISO 7295 - Interchangeability dimensions for tyre valves for?
ISO 7295 on interchangeability dimensions for tyre valves is useful for:
- Manufacturers of tyre valves
- Designers of tyre valves
- Aircraft assembly units
- Aeronautical engineers
- Quality control team
- Safety and maintenance team
Why should you use ISO 7295 - Interchangeability dimensions for tyre valves?
Aircraft tires can be tube-type or tubeless. They support the weight of the aircraft while it is on the ground and provide the necessary traction for braking and stopping. The tires also help absorb the shock of landing and cushion the roughness of take-off, rollout, and taxi operations. Aircraft tires must be carefully maintained to perform as required. They accept a variety of static and dynamic stresses and must do so dependably in a wide range of operating conditions.
ISO 7295 discusses the dimensions and tolerances depicting a user-friendly idea of tyre valves. ISO 7295 provides illustrations on the general assembly, dimensions essential for interchangeability and dimensions necessary for cap assembly that help users ensure the quality of the final product. The guidelines of ISO 7295 provide you with standardized interchangeability dimensions for tyre valves that enable you to provide a superior quality product to your customers.
