What is ISO 7319 about?
ISO 7319 discusses cone metric couplings for fluid systems in aerospace applications.
ISO 7319 specifies the geometry of the interface of removable 24° cone couplings for fluid systems in aircraft. The connection with the pipe of each one of the connecting elements can be of different design.
ISO 7319 focuses on the dimensions that allow the interchangeability of the male and female elements and the nut used for the connection. These dimensions define the maximum volume of the male fitting.
Who is ISO 7319 for?
ISO 7319 on cone metric couplings for fluid systems is relevant to:
- Aerospace hydraulic systems, fluids, and components manufacturing industries
- Aerospace and defence industries
- Testing agencies involved in the inspection of fluids and components of aircraft
- Cone metric couplings manufacturers
- Design engineers
Why should you use ISO 7319?
ISO 7319 ensures that the cone couplings manufactured for aerospace applications comply with standard specifications.
By adopting ISO 7319, manufacturers can demonstrate the reliability of their cone couplings and build trust in their use throughout the aerospace supply chain.
What’s changed since the last update?
BS ISO 7319:2021 supersedes BS 2M 59:1993 which is withdrawn. BS ISO 7319:2021 has revised the normative references from dated to undated with respect to BS 2M 59:1993.
