What is ISO 7961 about?
ISO 7961 specifies test methods for bolts for aerospace constructions.
The various types of tests covered in ISO 7961 are:
- Tensile test at ambient temperature
- Double shear test
- Tension fatigue test
- Stress durability test of ambient temperature
- Inspection for grinding burns
- Tensile test at elevated temperature
- Stress relaxation test at elevated temperature
- Stress corrosion test
- Stress rupture test at elevated temperature
Who is ISO 7961 for?
ISO 7961 on test methods for bolts for aerospace constructions is applicable to:
- Bolt manufacturers
- Aerospace engineers
- Mechanical engineers
Why should you use ISO 7961?
The quality of an aircraft is crucial. Boarding on one, constantly involves threats, as air mishaps might happen if the airplane is of poor quality and unkept. Therefore aircraft experts make sure they get the right airplane bolts and airplane fasteners. Using the right tools would make your flight safer and hassle-free. ISO 7961 provides various test methods for bolts for aerospace constructions. These tests provide assurity regarding the quality and safety of the aircraft.
The use of ISO 7961:2021 helps to contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goal 9 which aims to ensure the building of resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation.
What’s changed since the last update?
