What is ISO 9211-7 about?
ISO 9211-7 discusses optics and photonics.
ISO 9211-7 is the seventh part of a multi-part series that focuses on neutral beam splitter optical coatings.
ISO 9211-7 specifies minimum requirements regarding neutral beam splitter coatings for their optical effects and mechanical, chemical, and environmental properties.
ISO 9211-7 applies to neutral beam splitter coatings that are used in optical applications.
Who is ISO 9211-7 for?
ISO 9211-7 on neutral beam splitter coatings is relevant to:
- Optical instruments manufacturers
- Spectacle lens manufacturers
- Camera lens manufacturers
- Optician
- Ophthalmic laboratory technicians
Why should you use ISO 9211-7?
Neutral beam splitter coatings are used to separate light into reflected and transmitted parts without spectral influence.
Minimum requirements mentioned under ISO 9211-7 assist in manufacturing efficient optical applications by evaluating mechanical, chemical, and environmental properties of neutral beam splitter coatings.
ISO 9211-7 assists the user by providing defined numerical data that he can rely upon regarding the applications.
Efficient optical applications can be developed or enhanced by proper evaluation and use of neutral beam splitter coatings.
