What is ISO/IEC 13888-3 about?
ISO/IEC 13888-3 specifies mechanisms for the provision of specific, communication-related, non-repudiation services using asymmetric cryptographic techniques.
The goal of non-repudiation service is to generate, collect, maintain, make available and validate evidence concerning a claimed event or action in order to resolve disputes about the occurrence or non-occurrence of the event.
Who is ISO/IEC 13888-3 for?
ISO/IEC 13888-3 on information security is applicable to:
- Information technology companies
- IT risk and IT security managers
- Cyber security cells
- Financial companies
- Computer hardware companies
- Software companies
Why should you use ISO/ 13888-3?
Non-repudiation is a legal notion that is commonly used in information security and refers to a service that gives confirmation of the origin and integrity of data.
ISO/IEC 13888-3 will help you in creating non-repudiation tokes using SIGs. The digital signature is used to generate these SIGs. These public keys are used to verify the digital signature which is included in the public-key certificate. This ISO/IEC 13888-3 helps you in generating the evidence for non-repudiation of origin and delivers it without the participation of a third-party delivery authority. This non-repudiation origin helps you in providing protection against the originator’s false denial of having originated the message.
With ISO/IEC 13888-3 you will be able to exchange the non-repudiation tokes which are specific for each non-repudiation service. With the help of ISO/IEC 13888-3, you will be able to store these non-repudiations tokens which are used in the events of disputes.
