What is ISO/IEC 15946-1 - Cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves about?
ISO/IEC 15946 is an international standard that discusses security t. ISO/IEC 15946-1 provides the best industry guidance on the general cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves to enhance security measures.
ISO/IEC 15946-1 is the first part of a multi-part series that describes the mathematical background and general techniques necessary for implementing the elliptic curve cryptography mechanisms defined in ISO/IEC 15946-5, ISO/IEC 9796-3, ISO/IEC 11770-3, ISO/IEC 14888-3, ISO/IEC 18033-2, and other ISO/IEC standards.
Note: ISO/IEC 15946-1 does not specify the implementation of the techniques it defines. For example, ISO/IEC 15946-1 does not specify the basis representation to be used when the elliptic curve is defined over a finite field of characteristic two. Thus, interoperability of products complying with this part of ISO/IEC 15946 is not guaranteed.
Who is ISO/IEC 15946-1 - Cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves for?
ISO/IEC 15946-1 on cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves is:
- Engineers and developers
- Regulatory bodies
Why should you use ISO/IEC 15946-1 - Cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves?
Cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves are a key-based technique for encrypting data. Cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves focuses on pair of public and private keys for decryption and encryption of web traffic.
ISO/IEC 15946-1 guideline assist you with conventions for fields, conventions for elliptic curves, group law on elliptic curves, cryptographic bilinear map, conversion functions, octet string/bit string conversion, and integer/elliptic curve conversion for cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves.
Under ISO/IEC 15946-1 provides a public-key technology to describe the components that are necessary to implement secure elliptic curve cryptosystems such as key exchange, key transport, and digital signatures.
With compliance and obedience to ISO/IEC 15946-1, you can enhance the efficacy of security measures using cryptographic techniques based on elliptic curves.
