What is PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4-Decentralized Rural Electrification Systems about?
The IEC 62257 series is a European standard that covers various aspects of recommendations for renewable energy and hybrid systems for rural electrification.
PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4 is the 4th part of the IEC 62257 series is a technical specification, that specifies the general requirements for the design and the implementation of a user's installation.
PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4 applies to single-phase user's electrical installations with a maximum power of 500 VA, in Decentralized Rural Electrification Systems (DRES).
PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4 is applicable to installations supplied by an A.C microgrid (120 V or 220 V or 230 V or 240 V) and to installations encompassing their own single-unit A.C. micropower plant (120 V or 220 V or 230 V or 240 V) or D.C micropower plant (12 V or 24 V).
Who is PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4-Decentralized Rural Electrification Systems for?
PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4 on renewable energy and hybrid systems for rural electrification is useful to:
- Rural electrification projects developers and manufacturers
- Rural electrification project implementers
- Rural electrification project contractors
- Rural electrification project supervisors
- Rural electrification installers
- Test in laboratories developing countries
Why should you use PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4-Decentralized Rural Electrification Systems?
Photovoltaic hybrid power systems are gaining attraction among rural electrification institutions as a way to reduce fuel price rises, produce lower operating costs, and provide improved service quality than traditional single-source generating systems.
PD IEC/TS 62257-9-4 aids in the establishment of general requirements for the design and implementation of a user's installation for decentralized rural electrification systems.
PD IEC TS 62257-9-4 provides you guidance on renewable energy and hybrid systems for rural electrification products in terms of selecting the correct system for the right area, designing the system, and operating and maintaining the system.
Adopting guidance in PD IEC TS 62257-9-4 can be helpful for the safety, sustainability of systems and at the lowest life-cycle cost possible. PD IEC TS 62257-9-4 assist in promoting the use of renewable energies in rural electrification for developing countries
