What is ISO/TR 22639 about?
ISO/TR 22639 specifies the design process of multi-geo spacecraft collocation and the basic contents of a collocation design process which include considerations, initial collocation strategy design, simulation evaluation of collocation strategy, optimal collocation strategy selection, and collocation agreement.
ISO/TR 22639 gives guidelines for multi-geo spacecraft collocation, and it applies in particular to the multi-geo constellation.
Who is ISO/TR 22639 for?
ISO/TR 22639 on multi-geo spacecraft collocation for space systems is applicable to:
- Spacecraft operators
- Space engineers
- Aerospace and defence industries
- Organizations involved in making aerospace applications
- Spacecraft manufacturing industries
- Testing agencies involved in the inspection of aerospace products
- Quality control personnel for space system
Why should you use ISO/TR 22639?
With the wide application of geostationary orbit in spacecraft navigation, spacecraft communication and remote sensing, there comes a dramatic increase in the number of geostationary spacecraft while the orbit position of geostationary spacecraft is limited. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary for spacecraft operators to collocate their spacecraft with spacecraft operated by other agencies in order to deliver their services.
ISO/TR 22639 provides you with a detailed and practical set of design guidelines to assist the space industries in conforming to the requirements which relate to multi-geo spacecraft collocation. Theses design process of collocation includes initial collocation strategy design, simulation evaluation of collocation strategy, initial selection of collocation strategy, optimal collocation strategy selection and collocation agreement.
By adopting ISO/TR 22639, manufacturers can demonstrate the reliability of their multi-geo spacecraft collocations and build trust in their use throughout the aerospace supply chain.
