What is ISO 4644 about?
ISO 4644 lists the International Standards which are currently available for the determination of the chemical composition of nickels, ferronickels and nickel alloys.
ISO 4644 provides a bilingual key of the abbreviated terms used in the figures and shows the graphical representation of content ranges of the methods enlisted in this document:
- Figure A.1 shows the fields of application of the methods available for the three kinds of matrixes
- Figure A.2 gives the content ranges of the methods for nickels
- Figure A.3 gives the content ranges of the methods for ferronickels
- Figure A.4 gives the content ranges of the methods for nickel alloys
Who is ISO 4644 for?
ISO 4644 on the chemical composition of nickel, ferronickels and nickel alloys applies to:
- Chemical composition analysis and testing services
- Metal and alloy component manufacturers
- Dealers and importers of metal and alloy raw materials
Why should you use ISO 4644?
Nickel products have better corrosion resistance, greater toughness, more strength at high and low temperatures, they also have a range of special magnetic and electronic properties which makes them ideal for multipurpose applications.
ISO 4644 gives you standards for the determination of chemical composition, range of application and principle methods, graphical representation of nickels, ferronickels and nickel alloys which helps you to assess quality nickel and its by-products according to global standards.
ISO 4644 provides you details on the range of applications and gives the principle of the method described in each International Standard which allows you to assess the chemical composition of nickel, ferronickels and nickel alloys for quality assessment.
