What is PD ISO/TR 4804 about?
ISO/TR 4804 is an international standard on road vehicles applicable for the safety of automated driving systems which helps users to achieve a positive risk balance and avoid unreasonable risk and cybersecurity-related threats.
ISO/TR 4804 describes steps for developing and validating automated driving systems based on basic safety principles derived from worldwide applicable publications. ISO/TR 4804 considers safety and cybersecurity for automated driving systems by design, as well as verification and validation methods for automated driving systems, focused on vehicles.
Who is ISO/TR 4804 for?
ISO/TR 4804 on automated driving systems is useful for:
- Road vehicle engineers
- Personnel of data security team
Why should you use ISO/TR 4804?
Automated driving is one of the key modern technologies offering broader access to mobility, it may also help to reduce the number of driving-related crashes. ISO/TR 4804 guides you with the groups of principles of safety and cybersecurity for automated driving.
ISO/TR 4804 describes how the three dependability domains, the safety of the intended functionality, functional safety, and cybersecurity, work together and how to combine them to create a dependable system.
ISO/TR 4804 addresses the verification and validation of automated driving systems, including field monitoring and updates.
Henceforth, these frameworks and guidelines focused on safety and cybersecurity during the development, verification, validation, production, and operation of automated driving systems for all users in the automotive and mobility world.
